We had performed a women’s self-defense workshop at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton on Saturday, October 19th from 7-8pm. This workshop was about teaching women about how to prevent rape, assault, and abduction.
This safety and self-defense class is specifically designed for women to effectively learn how to prevent rape, assault, and abduction. Grand Master Gene Perceval, the instructor, has been teaching for over fifty seven years. This class covers traditional martial arts techniques and advocates for a world focused on respect, harmony, inspiration, and living in calmness of mind.

This class is free for the first two sessions, then regular tuition applies. Just come on in! This class is our regular women’s self-defense class which runs for one hour every Friday night at the Platinum Performance Dance Academy in Wantagh, NY. Currently, we already have two regular students. We rent one of the rooms for the hour; afterall, we’re a traveling martial arts school. You’re welcome to join this class or any future class at any point. This Friday night class is an ongoing women’s self-defense class that teaches women how to effectively learn how to handle assault, rape, and abduction. It covers traditional martial arts techniques and is specific to real life situations.

Time: 12 noon – 1pm.
Cost: free if you are first timer, or have not fulfilled your first two free classes. Otherwise, it is ten dollars per class but you pay monthly at $49.00 a month (which is 5 classes per month).

If you missed the Bryant Library event, then this event and this one (both on Saturday, August 25th) are a follow-up to the Bryant library event and for those who already attended but who wish to continue with the free women’s self-defense classes. If you can’t make Saturday, we can do Sunday at the same time, but please contact us first before showing up (516-779-1838). Also, as a side note, the meeting spot for this event is across the street from the address given; do NOT use the address 3 Park Plaza or it will send you to the wrong place! Glen Dance Studio is in the back of the building and upstairs. You will see signs for the studio.

This Women’s Self-Defense class, that took place at the Bryant Library (in Roslyn), was taught by Grand Master Gene Perceval. It was a free, one hour class. We are still holding classes like these at our Roslyn location (55 Lumber Road suite 100) between 11am-12noon. You can join at any time for a free 5 class introductory period. Just show up.
